Single-row miniature deep-groove ball bearings (ball bearings with a bore diameter < 10 mm are classified as “miniature bearings”) are one of the most commonly used bearing types and are employed in a variety of applications.

This bearing design accommodates both radial and axial forces from both directions; given its compact dimensions, it is suitable for very high rotational speeds and, thanks to its low-friction, low-noise, and low-vibration operation, can be used in a wide variety of applications.

Miniature angular contact ball bearings are single-row bearings with a pronounced contact angle that can accommodate not only radial forces but also axial loads in one direction.
A radial load always generates an axial force component that must be supported by a mating bearing.
The bearing clearance in single-row angular contact ball bearings is determined only upon installation and depends on the alignment with the mating bearing.

Instead of single bearings, paired bearings in O or X configurations with application-specific preload are also available.

O-arrangement (DB suffix):

An O-configuration allows for a large support distance and thus provides a highly rigid bearing arrangement. To achieve the factory-set preload, the inner rings must be tightly clamped against each other on the shaft.

Double-row self-aligning ball bearings are self-aligning rolling bearings that reliably compensate for angular misalignment between the shaft and the housing. Due to their design, they are particularly suitable for applications involving misalignment, shaft deflection, or installation inaccuracies, and ensure smooth, low-vibration operation.

The bearings comply with the tolerances specified in DIN 620 and the main dimensions specified in DIN 630, Sheet 1. They feature two raceway grooves on the inner ring and a hollow-spherical outer ring raceway, which provides high angular adjustability and uniform load distribution.

The inner and outer rings are made of case-hardened, high-purity rolling-bearing steel, which ensures high load-carrying capacity and a long service life. High-precision raceways optimize friction and noise characteristics even under demanding operating conditions.

Precision balls made of high-quality rolling bearing steel are used as rolling elements; ceramic balls are also available as an option for electrically insulated hybrid bearings. Depending on the application, open designs as well as versions with a sliding seal (2RS or LLU/LLUX) are available.

Depending on the requirements, the cage is manufactured from steel or glass-fiber-reinforced plastic. This allows the rotational speed, temperature resistance, and operating characteristics to be optimally adapted to the specific application.

Double-row self-aligning ball bearings are available in greased or oiled versions. For special applications, a wide selection of lubricants and customized lubrication concepts are available.
